The Founder CEO of Yemeco Hopeful Foundation (YHF), Chief (Mrs) Mary Yemisi Ayilola has reiterated her commitment to promote educational development of her land of birth, Ijero -Ekiti.She stated this at a media rapporteur with Ekiti Summit News when she hinted her plans to organize the maiden edition of Yemeco Hopeful Foundation YHF Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition as an annual educational event for the Secondary Schools students in Ijero -Ekiti in Ijero Local Government Area, Ekiti State of Nigeria in August.
According to Mrs.Ayilola,the Yemeco Quiz Competition is a knowledge – based event where teams from different secondary schools (private and public schools) in Ijero will compete against each other by answering questions on various topics in Sciences,Arts & Humanities, Current Affairs and General Knowledge.
This event is organized to test participants’ knowledge, foster friendly competition, and provide a platform for students to showcase their intellectual abilities.
At the end of the day,there will be a reward and lots of prizes to be won by the participants.
This is a bid to promote academic excellence and foster healthy competition among students.Mrs. Ayilola,said.
All the Secondary Schools,( public and private schools)in the Ijero-Ekiti community has been named to participate in the maiden edition of the Quiz Competition scheduled to hold in August,2025.
The Quiz competition promises to be an intellectually stimulating experience for the young minds of Ijero-Ekiti.
The grand finale of the event is schedule to hold on Tuesday, August 12th, 2025 at Ijero Civic Center, Aramoko Road, Ijero-Ekiti by 10 a.m prompt.
The Annual Birthday ceremony of the Yemeco Hopeful Foundation (YHF) is August 12 , while the Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition is an educational event that will adds a touch of milestones to this birthday event, showcasing the commitment of the Ijero -Ekiti born philanthropist and business tycoon, Chief (Mrs) Mary Ayilola to nurturing and celebrating the academic talents of Ijero’s youth.
The essence of this Inter Collegiate Quiz competition is to encourage critical thinking, articulate communication, and academic excellence among the Ijero-Ekiti students, and ultimately preparing them for future challenges and opportunities.
This educational event is expected to draw a mammoth crowd of students, parents, educators, and dignitaries. It’s anticipated that the competition will be fiercely competitive yet friendly, emphasizing sportsmanship and camaraderie spirit among the participants.
