HAPPY 62ND BIRTHDAY TO MY FATHER– MOB
By Trust-In-God Oluwadarasimi Oladiran
Today, I struggle to find words strong enough to describe the depth of my gratitude for you.
I keep asking myself: how do you celebrate a man who has been everything to so many people? How do you put into words the life of a man whose very existence has lit up homes, communities, and even nations?

To the world, you are Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele (CON) – the Senate Leader, the voice of the voiceless, the distinguished lawmaker, the courageous reformer, and the brilliant advocate for justice. But to me, You are the mentor whose words keep ringing in my ears even when life gets hard. You are my personal example that greatness is achieved not by wealth or titles alone but by serving humanity with a heart of gold.
Daddy, you are more than a name in the National Assembly, more than a Senate Leader, more than the distinguished politician the world knows. To me, you are family! You are a father!! You are the pillar that has stood tall for us over the years!!!
You carry a rare grace that combines power with humility, influence with integrity, and leadership with genuine compassion.
Growing up, I watched how you touched lives, not just through the positions you held but through the love you shared so freely. I remember hearing stories of how you rose against all odds, how you carried not just the dreams of your own family but also the hopes of your people in Ekiti and beyond. You’ve always been someone who gives, not because you have excess, but because you believe God placed you here to be a blessing. Daddy, I’ve seen you take burdens upon yourself quietly just so others can smile. You’ve held up families when they were falling apart. You’ve built lives when circumstances had broken them down.
You’ve always been intentional about sowing seeds of kindness in the lives of everyone around you. Daddy, you’ve been a bridge for so many destinies, a helper of countless journeys, and a voice of wisdom that has shaped generations.
I recall how you’ve been a shoulder for many, how you stepped in as a father, a brother, and a leader rolled into one. Your sacrifices are too numerous to count, and yet you make them look effortless.
You are not just a public servant; you are God’s gift to humanity. Your sacrifices for your people, your relentless pursuit of justice, and your unshakable faith in God make you stand out as a true statesman. You are proof that leadership is not about occupying a position but about making a difference. Your integrity, humility, and unshakable faith in God are values I hold close to my heart.
Even amidst the pressures of national leadership, you never failed to remember family, and for that, I’m deeply grateful.
Today, as you celebrate 62 incredible years of impact,
May God increase your strength like the eagle and renew your youth daily.
May you continue to walk in divine health, peace, and overflowing joy.
May the works of your hands prosper beyond imagination, and may your legacy never fade away.
May generations yet unborn rise and call you blessed, for the seeds you’ve sown into lives will yield eternal rewards.
May God preserve you for many more decades in sound health, peace, and joy.
May He reward your labor of love and cause your legacy to shine even brighter.
May He surround you with helpers of destiny the way you have helped countless others.
May heaven open fresh rivers of wisdom and strength for you as you continue to lead with courage and integrity.
You are not just a man of influence; you are a man of immense impact. You have lived a life worth celebrating, and I pray that your years ahead will be far greater than all the years behind.
Thank you, Senator Bamidele, for every word of encouragement, every act of kindness, and every prayer you have prayed in secret for us. Thank you for being a man we can proudly point to and say, “That is my father”!
Thank you for being you, for the love you’ve shown, the wisdom you’ve imparted, and the lives you’ve lifted.
Your niece,
Trust-In-God Oluwadarasimi Oladiran
