Words fail me as I try to describe how much you mean to me, not just as a sibling, but as a father, a friend, and a constant source of strength in my life.
How do I fully capture the life of a man who has been everything to me and to so many others?
I have watched your life over the years and every single day, I thank God for you.
You are my brother.
You are my father.
You are the one God gave to stand in the gap for me and our family countless times.
You are my pride and my blessing.
You are the brother who has carried this family on your shoulders through thick and thin.
You are the one who reminds us all that greatness is not in titles or wealth but in the number of lives you touch and the smiles you put on people’s faces.
I think back to the countless times you have stood in the gap for us, when you became more than a brother and stepped in as a father, when you gave sacrificially without expecting anything in return, and when you fought battles silently just so that the rest of us could have peace.
Daddy, your life is an inspiration. You embody grace, humility, and strength. Even amidst the weight of national responsibilities, you’ve never forgotten where you came from or the family that shaped you. You have shown us all what it means to be selfless, compassionate, and deeply rooted in God.
I remember all the times you showed up for me and for us all, not because it was convenient, but because your heart is too big to ignore the needs of others. I remember how you carried not just the weight of your own responsibilities but also took on the burdens of family, friends, and even strangers.
You have been the shoulder we all leaned on. You’ve been the voice of encouragement when we felt weak. You’ve been a source of strength in our darkest hours. I have seen how you would give and give, not because you had too much, but because you believe God placed you here to be a blessing.
Daddy, I marvel at how you’ve touched so many lives beyond our family. How your name opens doors of hope for countless people. And yet, with all your greatness, you’ve never forgotten your roots or the family God gave you.
On this special day, my prayers for you are endless:
May God bless you with long life in perfect health and overflowing joy.
May He reward your labour of love with honour that cannot be erased.
May He surround you with true friends and helpers, the way you have been a helper to countless others.
May generations yet unborn call you blessed because of the seeds you’ve sown in lives.
