Major General (Dr) Simeon Kayode Oni (Rtd)was born on July 2nd 1947 A.D in Ijero-Ekiti now in the present Ekiti State, Southwest Nigeria;he is a son of Chief EYELADE ONI,The late Asan of Ijero-Ekiti (his father ) and Madam COMFORT ILORI ONI ( his mother).
He is a scion of Olomofe Ogunleye Otirikijuda,an Ijero War General at the EkitiParapo (Kiriji)War Fame in 1877 -1893A.D who turned the war to pure entertainment, Prince Oba -OJA (AbaOja) of Erijiyan Quarters, Ijero-Ekiti,Ewi Aroloye (Owaroloye)the 22nd reigning Ewi of Ado-Ekiti (1808-1836),Pa Adegunwa Otoki of Opeeleke Quarters, Ijero-Ekiti, Chief Olomese Osho Adekujaale of Opeeleke Quarters, Ijero-Ekiti, Princess Aladewe (Daughter of Ajero Obaleyakin of Ijero -Ekiti who reigned from 1795-1815 A.D),Prince Ajayi Oba of Ododara Quarters, Ijero-Ekiti (A scion of Ajero Owariberu of Ijero -Ekiti);
Princess Abimbola Aboligigbeti (a daughter of Olowo Adedipe ElewuOkun, the 21st Olowo of Owo Kingdom,who reigned from 1781 -1833 A.D, Ajero Ogbe, the founder of Ijero around 1376 A D, Ajero kiOsa, the fourth direct Prince of Olofin Oduduwa from Ile-Ife (The Source) around 1200 A.D,Ewi Awamaro ,the founder of Ado- Ekiti around 1310 A.D ,Ewi BiritiOkun,the first Ewi in History and a scion of Olofin Oduduwa of Ile -Ife (circa 1200A.D.)

5A.Great -Great grandson of PRINCE OBA OJA( ABA OJA),the son of Ewi Aroloye (Owaroloye) and father of CHIEF OGUNLEYE OLOMOFE OTIRIGIJUDA of Ijero-Ekiti.He was Gen.S.K.Oni’s Paternal Great -Great grandfather. ABA OJA (The son of Ewi Aroloye was the patriarch of all OJA family of Ijero-Ekiti).
5B.Great -Great grandson of CHIEF OSHO ADEKUJAALE, The Olomese of Ijero-Ekiti, the father of Pa Adegunwa OTOKI,Pa Erinle Osho Alufa,Saade Ajayi OsigbaOlode.He was General Simeon Kayode Oni’s maternal Great -Great grandfather .
5C.Great -Great grandson of Princess ALADEWEMIMO (Aladewe) , daughter of Ajero Obaleyakin (reigned 1795-1815) and the mother of the trio Pa Adegunwa Otoki,Pa Erinle Osho Alufa and High Chief Saade Ajayi OsigbaOlode.
She was a maternal Great -Great grandmother of General Simeon Kayode Oni through his mother and maternal grandmother (Madam EYE KOTEWA).
6A.5th Generation of EWI AROLOYE (Owaroloye),the 22nd reigning Ewi of Ado-Ekiti (1808 – 1836) ,He was the father of OBA -OJA( corrupted as ABAOJA) in Ijero -Ekiti.He was thus the Paternal Great -Great – Great Grandfather of Gen.Simeon Kayode Oni(Rtd).Ewi Aroloye (Owaroloye)was also the father of Ewi Ajimudaoro Aladesanmi 1,who reigned from 1886-1910 as the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti.
6B.5th Generation of SAADE ABOLIGIGBETI (The late Saade of Ijero -Ekiti),He was the father of Chief Olomese Adekujaale (Father of Pa Adegunwa Otoki) and others.He was General Simeon Kayode Oni Rtd, maternal ancestor.
6C.5th Generation of AJERO OBALEYAKIN – He reigned as Ajero of Ijero -Ekiti (1795-1815),he was the father of Ajero Olamiloye Oyiyosoye (reigned 1866-1901) of the EkitiParapo (Kiriji) war fame and Ajero Obaleyakin was the father of Princess Aladewe(mother of Pa Adegunwa Otoki and others). Ajero Obaleyakin was an ancestor of General Simeon Kayode Oni Rtd through his maternal lineage.
6D. 5th Generation of PRINCESS ABIMBOLA Aboligigbeti (nee Adedipe ElewuOkun) – She was the wife of Saade Aboligigbeti,mother of Olomese Adekujaale and a proud daughter of Oba Adedipe ElewuOkun, the 21st Olowo of Owo Kingdom (1781-1833).She was a maternal ancestor of General Simeon Kayode Oni Rtd.
7A.The Paternal Ancestors of General Simeon Kayode Oni (Rtd) can be traced from EWI AROLOYE (Owaroloye) to Ewi AWAMARO ( who led the Ado people to the present site of Ado-Ekiti (formerly Ilesun) arround 1310 A.D. and his father Ewi BIRITIOKUN (The first Ewi in History had his roots from the House of Oduduwa, from Ile-Ife (The Source).
7B.The Maternal Ancestors of General Simeon Kayode Oni (Rtd) can also be traced from SAADE Aboligigbeti down to Saade Opeeleke (The prince of Ajapada Gbogi (24th Deji of Akure kingdom).(Saade Aboligigbeti was the son of Saade Somisoro,Saade Somisoro was the son of Saade Imodu, Saade Imodu was the son of Saade Opeeleke,a Prince of Oba Gbogi 24th Deji of Akure who started the Saade Chieftaincy title House in Ijero -Ekiti around 1678 A.D.
7C.The maternal Ancestors of General Simeon Kayode Oni (Rtd) can also be traced from Princess Abimbola Aboligigbeti (nee Adedipe ElewuOkun) to Olowo ElewuOkun of Owo Kingdom (r.1781-1833) and from Olowo Osogboye of Owo Kingdom (reigned 1600 -1648 A.D) being Saade Opeeleke ‘s maternal Grandfather.
7D.The Maternal Ancestors of General Simeon Kayode Oni (Rtd) can be traced from Princess Aladewe, daughter of AJERO OBALEYAKIN and Prince Ajayi Oba ,a scion of AJERO OWARIBERU to the first Ajero of Ijero -Ekiti , Ajero Ogbe who founded the present site of Ijero-Ekiti around 1376 A.D and Ajero Ki Osa,the fourth direct Prince of Olofin Oduduwa,who lived at Ita Ajero Quarters in Ile-Ife around 1200A.D before migrated to EbaOsa around Lagos Hence the popular cognomen: “Omo Ajero ki osa,Omo Osu keregbe legbe Orun.”
