Dr. Olufunso Ojo, MD, is an Internal Medicine specialist practicing in Lithonia, Georgia ,United States with over 30 years of experience.
He was born into the famous family of Pa Oluwole Ojo,an educationist , community leader and progressive politician who is a native of Ijero-Ekiti, Ekiti State of Nigeria.

The news of honour to Dr.Olufunso Ayodeji Ojo’s remarkable achievements and impressive medical career that earned him the prestigious award and citizenship of the state of Georgia, United States was filtered to the Ijero Development Association (IDA) WhatsApp Group platform on the morning of Wednesday, April 16 by his maternal uncle,Mr.Wole Owoeye and later relayed by the Secretary of the Central Planning Committee,IDA, Pastor Akin Alufa.

Dr. Olufunso A. Ojo is a geriatrician in Lithonia, Georgia and is affiliated with Emory Decatur Hospital. He received his medical degree from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University , Ile-Ife (College of Health Sciences) Nigeria, and graduated in 1995.

He proceeded to do House man ship at General Hospital, Akure,Ondo State, Nigeria then his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1997. He proceeded to the United States did his Clinical Research Assistant at Columbia University New York in 1999.. Then later was accepted into Internal Medicine Residency Training at MoreHouse school of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia between 2000 to 2003.
He decided to further sub specialize in Geriatric Medicine at Emory University school of medicine in Atlanta Georgia.
Later worked with various hospital systems in Georgia
He held positions like Chief Dept of Medicine.
Chairman Medical Evaluation committee that oversees peer review of other Physicians .
Member of American College of Physicians ,
Member American Medical Association.
Diplomate of the American board of internal Medicine.
CEO, Mercy Internal Medicine Associates PC since 2006 till date.
Actively Involved in training and perception of numerous medical students since 2006.
Involved extensively in various Community services, Philanthropy and Charity Works with the undeserved.

He has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Olufunso A. Ojo has expertise in treating heart failure, hypertension, anxiety disorders, among other conditions.
