Rear Admiral Wilfred Oluwasegun Arokodare,Rtd (1936-2025)
It is with very heavy hearts but immense gratitude to God Almighty that the Arokodare Dynasty worldwide announces the passing to eternal glory on Friday, July 18,2025 of their much-loved, humble, and unassuming Patriarch, Retired Rear Admiral Wilfred Oluwasegun Arokodare.
The late Rear Admiral Arokodare had an illustrious career in the Nigeria Navy, untarnished by any scandal. He was a man of integrity, a good man, full of love, kind, and generous. His was a life lived as an expression of gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve mankind and positively touch the many lives he came across in his earthly journey. Much like his late Dad, the great Chief John Afolabi Arokodare of Ijero-Ekiti.
The late Retired Rear Admiral W. O. Arokodare died peacefully and gloriously on Friday, 18th July, 2025 in the arms of his children and other loved ones looking on. Left to mourn him are his devoted wife, faithful companion, and supportive friend of over 50 years, Grace Oyinkansola Arokodare (nee Oloko), his children and grandchildren, siblings, and an endless line of extended families at home and abroad.
Retired Rear Admiral Arokodare will be sorely missed. May His lovely soul find eternal rest in the bosom of his Maker, whom he faithfully served with all he had and all he was endowed with, in word and deed.
