SURV BIODUN ALUKO NOT EYEING SENATE POSITION AS FALSELY CLAIMED — EKITI SOUTH LEADERS STAND FIRMLY WITH SENATOR YEMI ADARAMODU
The attention of key stakeholders and political leaders in Ekiti South Senatorial District has been drawn to a recent voice note making the rounds, allegedly released by Hon Adegoke Olatunji from Efon Local Government, suggesting that Surv Biodun Aluko, the Chairman of Ekiti South Elders Forum, is preparing to contest for the Senate position in 2027.
We wish to categorically state that this claim is completely false, misleading and baseless. Surv Biodun Aluko, a well respected elder statesman and a strong pillar of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, has not at any time shown interest or expressed intention to run for the Senate. His primary commitment remains the unity, peace and progress of the senatorial district. He is focused on strengthening the party and mentoring younger politicians, not chasing personal political ambitions.
It is important to put on record that our current senator, Distinguished Senator Yemi Adaramodu, is doing an exceptional job in representing the people of Ekiti South at the National Assembly. His effective representation, legislative contributions, and impactful constituency projects have elevated the standing of the district within national politics.
From youth empowerment and job facilitation to infrastructural support and policy advocacy, Senator Adaramodu has proven to be a capable and responsive representative. His performance continues to enjoy the overwhelming approval of party leaders, elders, and the general public across all local governments in Ekiti South.
We therefore state unequivocally that all the leaders of Ekiti South Senatorial District remain solidly behind Senator Yemi Adaramodu for a well deserved second term. His return to the Senate is not only necessary but strategic to the continued growth and development of our senatorial district.
We urge members of the public and our great party to disregard any false information being circulated with the intention to mislead and cause disunity. The leadership of Ekiti South remains united and focused.
