Today, we join family, friends, associates, and well-wishers across Nigeria and beyond in celebrating an exceptional gentleman, an accomplished leader, and a proud son of Lagos, Dr. Harrison Bolaji Adeniji, as he marks another remarkable year of life.
Dr. Harrison Adeniji is a shining example of the values that define the true spirit of Omoluabi Eko – a man of integrity, humility, honour, and unwavering commitment to humanity. His life has been characterized by selfless service, visionary leadership, and a genuine passion for uplifting people and communities.
A respected prince of Lagos, Dr. Adeniji has distinguished himself not only as a successful professional but also as a consummate philanthropist, mobilizer, bridge-builder, and social influencer whose impact transcends social, political, and cultural boundaries. His ability to unite people around noble causes has earned him admiration from countless individuals both at home and abroad.
One of the defining moments in his public service journey was his pioneering role as the founding President of the Obama Club of Nigeria in 2008. At a historic moment when then-Senator Barack Obama was seeking the highest office in the United States, Dr. Adeniji demonstrated uncommon vision and global engagement by mobilizing support and fostering goodwill between Nigerians and the Obama campaign in the United States.
His commitment went beyond words. He traveled to Chicago, Illinois, USA, where he personally delivered the goodwill message of Obama supporters and friends in Nigeria to the leadership of Obama for America, the principal campaign organization that propelled Barack Obama to become the 44th President of the United States. This gesture reflected his belief in international friendship, democratic ideals, and citizen engagement.
Throughout his life, Dr. Adeniji has remained devoted to the principle that true leadership is measured by service to humanity. Whether in public life, community development, social advocacy, or personal relationships, he has consistently demonstrated kindness, accessibility, and humility. These qualities have endeared him to many and continue to make him a role model for younger generations.
A contemporary and trusted associate of distinguished statesmen, including Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, former Federal Minister of Works, Dr. Adeniji’s influence and contributions have left an enduring mark on society. Yet, despite his accomplishments and recognition, he remains remarkably humble – a trait that many admire even more than his numerous achievements.
Indeed, Dr. Harrison Bolaji Adeniji embodies the authentic values of a well-bred Lagosian. He is truly an Original Omoluabi Eko.
