Why I Personally Endorse Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a Second Term

Leadership is best judged not by promises made, but by results delivered. Over the past years, Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the development, stability, and progress of Ekiti State. His administration has focused on people-centered governance, infrastructural development, economic growth, and the welfare of citizens across the state.
My political benefactor and leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, CON, Leader of the Senate in the 10th National Assembly, serves as the Chairman of the Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) Re-Election Campaign Council. His decision to lead the campaign is a reflection of his confidence in Governor Oyebanji’s performance and his belief that the Governor’s re-election represents a choice for continuity, progress, sustainable development, and shared prosperity for all Ekiti people.
My endorsement of Governor Oyebanji for a second term is based on the conviction that continuity of good governance is essential for sustainable development. Under his leadership, Ekiti State has witnessed purposeful policies and impactful initiatives aimed at improving education, healthcare, agriculture, road infrastructure, and youth empowerment. His inclusive approach to governance has fostered unity, strengthened public confidence in government, and promoted broad-based participation in the affairs of the state.
Governor Oyebanji has shown that leadership is fundamentally about service. He has maintained open engagement with stakeholders, traditional institutions, community leaders, professionals, artisans, women, and young people, ensuring that governance reflects the aspirations of the people. His humility, accessibility, and dedication to duty have earned him respect across political and social divides.
A second term will provide an opportunity to consolidate ongoing projects, deepen reforms, and accelerate the pace of development across Ekiti State. The foundations already laid can be strengthened to deliver even greater benefits to our communities and future generations.
As citizens who desire continued progress, peace, and prosperity, it is important that we support leadership that has demonstrated competence, vision, integrity, and commitment to the public good. For these reasons, I proudly endorse Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for a second term and encourage all well-meaning Ekiti people to support his continued service to our dear state.
The popular slogan, “BAO Leekan Si” (BAO Again), resonates with many Ekiti people because it represents continuity of a development agenda that is already yielding positive results.
Together, let us build on the gains of today and secure a brighter future for Ekiti tomorrow.
