PROFILE IN HONOUR of Hon. Peter Owolabi

In his evergreen classic work ,Twelfth Night, the famous playwright, wordsmith, and English writer, William Shakespeare tells us not to fear greatness: “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.”
The meaning of this quote is that,some people are born into powerful and influencial family and inherit greatness ; while others work for greatness and achieve good success in life; still, others are forced to accept greatness in their journey in life by fortune.
One example of man who has greatness achieved in conformity with the words of Shakespeare is Honourable Peter Owolabi, former member Federal House of Representatives, representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency I (Ikole/Oye LGs)at the lower chamber of the national Assembly (2019-2023).
Hon.Peter Owolabi is a Nigerian lawyer, business magnate,and politician who has profoundly impacted the lives of the people with his midas touch as a man with a heart of gold.
Hon.Peter Owolabi was born into the family of Chief & Mrs. Lawrence Owolabi of Imikan Quarters Ikole Ekiti. His mother is of the Oluyi Family in Odo-Ayedun. He had both his Primary and Secondary Education in Ikole at St. Peter’s Catholic School and Egbe-Oba High School in the 80s and 90s respectively.
Despite the fact that He was a science student with good grades, He enrolled for Art class to enable him to study Law at the University of Lagos, wherein he graduated in 2006 and proceeded to Nigerian Law School (Lagos Campus) and was thereafter called to the Nigerian Bar and thereafter enrolled at the University of London for a Master Degree In Laws (LLM) and also completed a certificate Course on Strategic Negotiations at John Hopkins Carey University Baltimore, USA.
Hon.Peter Owolabi is a Partner at Peter Owolabi & Co (Legal Practitioners & Consultants), Chairman of Trends Farms & Agro-Alied Industries Ltd, Trends Logistics & Integrated Services Ltd, Trends Foods & Packaging Ltd and Trends Exploration & Mining Company Ltd.
Hon.Peter Owolabi is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria,Former Special Assistant (SA) to the Ekiti State Governor on Housing, former General Manager Ekiti State Housing Corporation and presently member Federal House of Representatives, representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 (Ikole/Oye LGs Ekiti State).
A down to earth man who believe in God and culture of service to humanity.
By every criterion, Hon.Peter Owolabi is a profile in honour.A real Ekiti proverbial man of honour (Oni Uyi,Oni Eye) because of his good virtues and sterling qualities as a quintessence of humanity.
He is a philantropist,role model and benefactor of humanity and true citizen of the world.He has received several awards and honour for his immense contributions and service to community development and humanity in general.
For many Nigerians and especially the aspiring youths who see him as a role model and Inspirer,Hon.Peter Owolabi embodies the essence of humanity and real greatness.
