Ijerro Development Association (IDA)greets Hon.Ogunlola on her Birthday
Ijero Development Association (IDA) , the apex body of all the social and cultural organizations in Ijero -Ekiti, Ekiti State of Nigeria has sent it’s congratulations message to Honourable Omowumi Ogunlola, former Member,Federal House of Representatives on the occasion of her 60th birthday.
The IDA through the Secretary, Central Coordinating Committee, CCC ,Mr.Akin Alufa paid glowing tribute to Hon.Omowumi Ogunlola sterling qualities as a jewel of inestimable value to the land of her nativity, Ijero -Ekiti.
The Ijero Development Association IDA message reads thus:
“Today, we rise as a body, united in deep appreciation and heartfelt celebration of a woman who has continued to embody service, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her people — Honourable Omowunmi Ogunlola.
Happy birthday, Ma. May today be as fabulous as your spirit and may the years ahead be filled with countless more celebrations, rich in peace, joy, health, and fulfilment.
You are indeed a woman of the people — a proud daughter of Ijero whose name rings with honour and compassion. As a strong and powerful political figure, you have used your voice, your influence, and your wealth not to enrich yourself, but to better the lot of many — especially the poor and vulnerable in our land. From building homes for the homeless to equipping our youth with the tools to stand tall economically and financially, your works speak, loudly and without boast.
Like Dorcas in the Bible, you have used the blessings God has given you to sow goodness into the lives of your neighbours and community. And in doing so, you have reminded us all of a timeless truth: that giving in a community such as ours is not just a duty, it is a divine seed — one that brings healing, unity, and progress when planted with love.
If we had many more like you, Honourable Ogunlola, Ijero would not just be better — it would be transformed.
