Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda, and 18 APC governors on Tuesday rallied support for Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji ahead of the June 20 governorship election.
At the APC grand finale campaign rally in Ado-Ekiti, the leaders praised Oyebanji’s performance in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and workers’ welfare, urging residents to vote for continuity.
Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, described Oyebanji as a humble and visionary leader committed to the welfare of the people, while Akpabio commended the governor’s developmental strides and inclusive leadership.
Former Ekiti governors Niyi Adebayo, Ayodele Fayose, Kayode Fayemi, and Segun Oni also attended the rally. Fayose, a PDP chieftain, endorsed Oyebanji, citing his ability to unite political stakeholders across party lines.
Oyebanji said his re-election bid is based on his administration’s achievements and pledged to deliver even more development if given a second term.
