By Oluyemi Ojo

The Ado Heritage Group, a prominent socio-political organization in Ado Ekiti, has successfully concluded its grassroots campaign activities aimed at mobilizing support for the re-election of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, ahead of the June 20 governorship election.

The campaign, which was code-named “Community-to-Community Outreach,” commenced several weeks ago and covered various parts of Ado Ekiti. Members of the group embarked on extensive engagements across communities, market places, and other strategic locations within the state capital to canvass support for Governor Oyebanji’s second-term bid.

During the outreach programmes, the group interacted with artisans, traders, community leaders, residents, and eligible voters, highlighting the achievements of the Oyebanji administration and encouraging them to support the governor at the polls. The engagements also provided an avenue for citizens to express their views, concerns, and expectations regarding governance and development in the state.

Speaking on the outcome of the exercise, Coordinator of the group, Otunba Ademola Ayoola, described the outreach as highly successful. According to him, the reception received from residents across the various locations visited was encouraging and reflected widespread appreciation for the governor’s leadership.

Also commenting on the exercise, the Chairman of the Campaign committee, Hon. Odunayo Arinka, who served alongside Ayoola in coordinating the campaign activities, expressed satisfaction with the level of participation and support recorded during the outreach. He noted that the campaign team was able to engage directly with diverse segments of the electorate and gather valuable feedback from the people.

Ayoola further disclosed that the committee would carefully review the observations, feedback, and complaints received from residents during the campaign. He said the concerns raised by members of the public would be compiled and forwarded to the appropriate government authorities for necessary attention and action.

Meanwhile, the President of the Ado Heritage Group, Bashorun Tope Alabi, commended members of the organization for their dedication, commitment, and active participation throughout the campaign period.

He expressed appreciation for the overwhelming show of love and support demonstrated for Governor Oyebanji during the outreach activities. Alabi also thanked individuals and well-wishers who contributed generously towards the success of the campaign, noting that their support played a significant role in achieving the group’s objectives. He expressed optimism that the goodwill generated during the outreach would translate into electoral victory for Governor Oyebanji in the forthcoming election.
