Rear Admiral Wilfred Olusegun Arokodare,Rtd is Dead.He was aged 89.
Rear Admiral Wilfred Olusegun Arokodare,Rtd was great man who was a son of another great man of illustrious memory , Chief John Afolabi Arokodare (1903-2001) of Ijero- Ekiti; who was the first and the last Indigenous Defacto Ekiti District Officer who was the first Indigenous Administrator of the old Ekiti Division now Ekiti State after the white colonial District Officers left in the pre-Independence.
Rear Admiral W.O.Arokodare was one -time Chief of Naval Planning & Operations when late Vice Admiral Mike Okhai Akhigbe, was the former Chief of Naval Staff during the Abacha military years in Nigeria.
He was a fine military top brass and gallant officer who discharge his service effectively to the nation.
He was one of the greatest military officers that Ekiti State gave to the world.
May his ebullient soul rest in peace.
