Dr. Olusanmi A. Adeniran, Ph.D., PMP, CQA , an Expertise in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing is a pride of Ekiti to the world.
His intellectual peregrinations to stardom in the Diaspora began in Nigeria where he had his primary and secondary schools education to the first degree at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile-Ife (OAU).
He has his noble pedigree in Ijero -Ekiti, Ekiti State, Southwest of Nigeria.His paternal great grandfather,High Chief Obanla Alomaja (second in command to Ajero of Ijero) was one of the EkitiParapo (Kiriji) warriors, Kiriji war was the longest internecine war in history of the late 19th century (1877 – 1893).High Chief Obanla Alomaja was also a childhood friend of the great monarch Ajero Oyiyosoye and together they had rendezvous with destiny as one of the influential men of their age at Kiriji War and beyond.
His paternal grandfather, High Chief Isaac Fasugba Adeniran was one of the Ijero pioneering pupils of the first primary school in Ijero District at St.Georges Primary School, Ijero -Ekiti founded by Mummy Helena Fatoregun Doherty in 1896.High Chief Isaac Fasugba Adeniran became the Obanla of Ijero from 1930 -1944.Obanla Adeyemi (alias Osho Ibon was his predecessor who died after the Colonial Anti- Tax Episode in 1929).
The Obanla Adeyemi 1929 Episode was an incident which cannot be forgotten not only in Ijero history but entire Ekiti District during the colonial era.A digressive event if not averted can cause a great disaster.
Obanla Adeniran was succeeded by his junior brother,High Chief R.F.Omotade in 1945 and went for a short course in Agriculture in England in 1947.
The Obanla Alomaja Dynasty are one of the prestigious and noble family in Ijero-Ekiti since mid 19th century.
Dr. Olusanmi Adeniran own father,Pa John Adeniji Adeniran is an Ijero patriot, community developer and historian.He served as the Chairman of the Committee for the Creation of Ijero Municipal Local Council Development Area which proved abortive in the year 2021.As a historian,his dissertation,Palace Organization in Ijero,submitted for the partial fulfilment of the Bachelor Degree of Arts (B.A.Hons) History at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1974 makes a veritable chapter in Ijero Kingdom History authored by Mr.Bola Borisade.
Dr.Olusanmi Adeniran is not only a chip off the old block that attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife but he stand on the shoulder of his ancestors.
He was very proud of being granted two United States patents for his innovative work, both regarding the laser treatment of materials to increase bond adhesion and reaction.
Dr. Olusanmi A. Adeniran was recently selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on over 17 years of technical and project management leadership, Dr. Adeniran has found success serving as a staff engineer at the Lockheed Martin Corporation. Working in this role since 2023, he leads various Quality & Mission Success projects to foster technical excellence. Prior to joining the Lockheed Martin Corporation, he held other critical engineering positions at Siemens Energy, a critical energy infrastructure manufacturer, where he served as a principal engineer and before that senior process engineer, focusing on materials & processes development.
Earlier in his career, he honed his skills as a senior development engineer at Schaeffler AG from 2013 to 2018 and as a piping project engineer at ASB Valiant Limited from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, he is the owner of Abacoll Solutions LLC, further showcasing his versatility and entrepreneurial spirit in the engineering sector.
Dr. Adeniran is very proud of being granted two United States patents for his innovative work, both regarding the laser treatment of materials to increase bond adhesion and reaction. He also takes pride in his industry recognition, serving as an external advisory committee member for NASA’s American Indian and Alaska Native STEM Engagement Program. He has contributed to the engineering field by authoring 14+ academic works with over 170 citations.
Furthermore, he dedicates time to mentoring several programs, including the University of Texas at Arlington College of Engineering Alumni Network and the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers Mentorship Bridge program.
Dr. Adeniran’s academic background is equally impressive, holding a PhD in systems engineering from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science in materials science and engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical and materials engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife,Nigeria before immigrating to the United States.
Some of his certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) from the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers, Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) from the American Society of Quality (CQA), Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services, amongst others.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Adeniran is actively involved in civic organizations, and has been recognized with several awards, including the 2024 Black Excellence Council (B.E.C.) Awards – Excellence in STEM at Lockheed Martin Corporation, 2012 Linda Berryman Scholarship in Oil & Gas Safety by OSHA, and 2011 Enhanced Graduate Teaching Assistantship Fellowship at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Engineering, among others.
Dr. Adeniran attributes his success to his positive attitude, faith and hard work. Outside of his civic and professional engagements, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, travelling, cycling, dancing, learning new technologies, and participating in outdoor activities.
This Ijero -Ekiti born citizen of the world hopes to make an impact by giving back to society through continued collaborations with industry and academia, aiming to inspire future generations with his dedication to engineering excellence and community service.
